Students who complete their high school education are able to apply for several accredited vocational and professional programs. Two programs enrolling students supported by For a Reason are the Faculty of Nursing Science, Episcopal University of Haiti and the Zanmi Agrikol Technical School of Agronomy. Students graduate from these programs with invaluable skills and return to their communities to provide much needed support services. Nursing graduates in many cases are providing the first and only medical services their communities have ever known. Subsistence farming remains the primary means of support in rural Haiti and graduates from Zanmi Agrikol are expert in the areas of crop management, reforestation, and building construction. Both programs provide trained personnel in desperately needed services for the growth and development of independence and resilience in the most impoverished regions of Haiti.
